Lute FP Oh, so good. A little uneven, but when they hit their stride, it’s the perfect synthesis of classic rock, Pentagram doom, and Brandt Bjork desert rock. There is a subtlety to the songwriting that reveals the genius of this band.

FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Bluesy fuzzed up goodness with a nicely polished classic rock feel. Favorite track: The One-Eyed Wizard.

Tom's Reviews Very nice bluesy rock n roll from France. I love the vocal style, it's well executed and fits the music perfectly.
The guitar tone reminds me of old ZZ Top with a pinch of Pentagram tossed in for good measure; in the rhythm sound that is, the lead tone is equally as nice too! Favorite track: Already Gone.

On the top of the clouded sky I see the dead stars that have never shined Here I go, I go, I try to catch up the rain I've often thought I could be here Now and then, I'm allowed to decide Here I go, I go, I try to catch up the rain But I still see the wizard Wearing long black sleeves I still see the wizard So you called my name Then you wrote my fate Among the answers I want to believe But the wizard is still drilling me With the backdrop of the constant moanings The prayers stopped an the wizard emerges Here I go, I go, choking in the heavy mist With black bolts he entrenched his rule I have no choice but to leave out my sort Here I go, I go, choking in the heavy mist But I still see the wizard Wearing long black sleeves I still see the wizard So you called my name Then you wrote my fate Among the answers I want to believe But the wizard is still drilling me (Leads: Payan, Serra, Payan, Serra) But I still see the wizard Wearing long black sleeves I still see the wizard But I still see the wizard One eye to drill me I still see the wizard So you called my name Then you wrote my fate Among the answers I want to believe But the wizard is still drilling me

The Ocean 05:08
Distorted reality Takes a look inside me Serenity disappears Bringing in the moving fears I don't have so much time Before the waters collide I breath and I cough It seems I'm not so tough This is the ground I've touched The sand is warm in my hand I breathe the particles Leaching into my lungs I will drown, I will drown in the ocean I won't get back, I won't get back from the ocean Intensive computation Glut of information Lack of imagination Torture of my emotions I don't have so much time Before I turn into steam Unable to process my feelings Everything comes to an end This is the ground I've touched The sand is warm in my hand I breathe the particles Leaching into my lungs I will drown, I will drown in the ocean I won't get back, I won't get back from the ocean (Leads: Payan, Serra, Payan, Serra) This is the ground I've touched The sand is warm in my hand I breathe the particles Leaching into my lungs I will drown, I will drown in the ocean I won't get back, I won't get back from the ocean

Already Gone 05:14
I got a loose control over myself Cant bend the rules no more, bad for the health Those lonely days, I'm hiding Behind the curse of my fate The only way I'm trying Is searching for words I don't understand There is no end No peaceful nights No pain no harm But still don't know what I'm working on The days go by, not a single dawn No gain no warning But I still don't know why I'm moving on The dark is mine, I'm already gone (Leads: Serra, Payan) Don't want to spend no more my time in a shell And all the fears I wore burnt like hell Your saving words are not healing The disease that cracks my being All that remains is nothing To cure my misfortune away There is no end No peaceful nights No pain no harm But still don't know what I'm working on The days go by, not a single dawn No gain no warning But I still don't know why I'm moving on The dark is mine, I'm already gone

I hear the silence of the persistent agony There's no more in my head to get me off from here I see the non-sense in my reminiscence Appearing clear and bright so I'll never forget I fear my memories and I beg they leave me alone Now I can understand how I've been reacting I'm sealed to the past and I'm living in a danger zone I live with the wrath that's not under control I feel the sorrow of my uneasiness There's no more in my head to get me off from sleep I see there's no help, I've got to learn to take a hit Of necessity, I'm hardening my shield I fear my memories and I beg they leave me alone Now I can understand what has just happened I'm sealed to the past and I'm living in a danger zone I live with the wrath that's not under control (Leads: Payan, Serra, Payan, Serra, Payan, Serra) I feel the sorrow of the hard mockeries Determination is not enough to disregard I hear the silence in front of the harassment There are numerous flaws but I still try to hide them I fear my memories and I beg they leave me alone Now I can understand how I've been reacting I fear my memories but they won't leave me alone A part of me, a wall filled with cracks I'm sealed to the past and I'm living in a danger zone I live with the wrath that's not under control

I have buried my innocence Sarcasm and laughs are six feet under I didn't have the choice I dream I'm dying I don't see any hope Everything is dead, dark and cold I'm afraid of the light I dream I'm dying This is a nightmare All I see is the death row Let me see your vanity I will show you my insanity Confusion I'm waiting for my turn, I'm going to burn Reaction I'm enthralled by the end, sweet dead end I see the rage in your eyes Pushing you to reinforce my own fears You tried to break my knees I don't dream, I'm awake Suddenly I'm conscious You shall never stop to rise again All I need is this light I don't dream, I'm awake This is a nightmare All I see is the death row Let me see your vanity I will show you my insanity Confusion I'm waiting for my turn, I'm going to burn Reaction I'm enthralled by the end, sweet dead end (Leads: Serra, Payan, Serra, Payan, Payan, Serra, Payan, Serra) This is a nightmare All I see is the death row Let me see your vanity I will show you my insanity Confusion I'm waiting for my turn, I'm going to burn Reaction I'm enthralled by the end, sweet dead end

The explosion of sounds Not canalized by demons When it just creates nodes There's no end, I just drown The coming of noises I try to escape Unable to pretend It sounds like the end The coming of voices Makes me crawl, makes me fall Voices inside my head I'm waiting for the silence Keeps me from the danger Voices inside my head (Leads: Serra, Payan, Serra, Payan) The coming of voices Makes me crawl, makes me fall Voices inside my head I'm waiting for the silence Keeps me from the danger Voices inside my head

about

The French band Thus Live Humans is back with "Light of Ancient Times". This album, split in two volumes, conveys to a journey between nightmares and hopes for a new light to shine.
TLH pursues the works that began in 2019 with "Duality" by using old-school hard rock and heavy blues as basis, drifting towards doom and stoner rock at moments. This new album also offers some excursions in jazz, medieval and Eastern music. As the result of this melting, "Light of Ancient Times" includes raging riffs with plenty of fuzz and overdrive, mighty lead guitar duels, grooving drums, and finally, powerful but nonetheless melodic vocals.

Album reviews:

"An album like this that still manages to work and feel as though it’s firing on all cylinders without being unnecessarily flashy or bombastic that detracts from the real soul that is to be had throughout every moment that’s given to us with 'Light of Ancient Times, Vol. 1'."

Headbanger Reviews

"Get at that track 'The Winds in the Atlas Mountains', as epic as the title! If you're into retro rock but you want something a little different than the norm, give this a listen."

Riff Finder Reviews

"Seductive, elegant, but without renouncing to strength, the French are able to offer us a melting pot of vintage sounds with blues as the protagonist but not only that, as their songs are supported by solid compositional pillars, while they are able to offer fantastic vintage atmospheres to which they incorporate a colorful and effective groovy.
